What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is 5pm to 7pm on the day of arrival. The host, will greet you at Quinta de Velude and show you around. If you need to arrive later than 7pm, please contact us and we will try to accommodate your request. Check-out is by 10am on the day of departure.

If you need an earlier check-out or check-in then please let us know and we will try to fulfil your request, however, this will depend on the adjacent bookings, during high season it will be difficult to do early check-in or late check-out.

Can I bring a pet?

Even though we love animals due to the historical significance of the property pets are not allowed at Quinta de Velude.

Can I have a party?

​

We do not allow parties or hen or stag groups at Quinta de Velude.

Is there a breakfast service or meal service provided?

​

There is no breakfast service at Quinta de Velude, however, we offer with the check-in a meal basket (yogurts, tea, coffee, milk, bread, croissants and cake) and a bottle of regional wine.

We can replenish accordingly to your needs, and the length of your stay.

This basket brings you a mix where the flavour of the regional products, along with shopping in the nearby supermarkets, will allow you to make the most of the modern kitchen installed.

There is also a meal delivery service, which will allow you to enjoy the rich gastronomy of the local tradition that you can still find there thanks to the quality of the regional products and the knowledge of cookery passed down through generations. We particularly recommend the roast lamb in a stone oven* with rice, roast potatoes and salad, but above all you should enjoy the varied menu on offer.

*It is a centuries-old traditional stone oven that is closed with wood and adobe, where the food cooks for several hours, acquiring a very special flavour.

 

Is there a cleaning service?

There is weekly cleaning included in the cost of your stay but, if requested, we can provide daily cleaning.

Can we order an extra bed?

The house has 3 double beds and 1 individual bed; however, this can be expanded with the use of 2 double sofa beds.

Also, there is a crib available free of charge. Please let us know as early as possible if you would like to use the sofa beds.

Is the house rented exclusively?

​

Yes, Quinta de Velude, the house, the pool and the gardens, are only possible to rent on an exclusive basis. We do not rent rooms individually. The privacy you can enjoy in this estate is part of the unique experience.

Why do we need to send you our passport information?

​

It is a legal requirement from the Portuguese Immigration Department (SEF) that we submit data related to all foreign passport holders to their database.

We do not intend to keep your private information; we just ask for it as part of our legal requirements.

Are long-term stays allowed?

​

More than permitted, we are happy to receive our guests for an extended period of time, both the quinta and the region have so much to offer that all the time will be too little, and of course, guests are more than welcome to return!
